The Summer Guesthouse and Hostel, Koh Tao, Thailand

The Summer Guesthouse and Hostel, Koh Tao, Thailand

As it turns out. Koh Tao is a fantastic destination for the traveler on a budget.  The Summer Guesthouse and Hostel comes highly recommended, particularly if you’re traveling as a pair.  The property itself is located 8 minutes from the beach, and the rooms even have air conditioning (a luxury that is basically unheard of in Rowkin HQ, San Francisco Bay Area).  CK Hostel is also recommended if you are craving the clear waters of Koh Tao.  Located 1,650 feet away from the famous Sairee Beach, you can basically let the calm ocean waves lull you to sleep for a rock-bottom price of $36 dollars/night.  Are you a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-intolerant? Pranee Guesthouse, also right off Sairee Beach, provides a vegetarian and gluten-free breakfast each morning.  Gotta save a pretty penny where you can!

2. Mango Viewpoint

Located in Ao Muong, Koh Tao, this view is worth the short hike, if you can fight off the solicitors that will greet you along the way.  Despite this annoyance, Mango Viewpoint is 100% worth it for the experience (and highly instagrammable location). This is a great guide to making to the famous viewpoint.
