Listen to Your Favorite Tunes and Support Animals for Earth Day

Rowkin Teams Up With Animal Defenders International for Exclusive Donation Campaign

It’s not every day you get to listen to music on your favorite headphones and help end the suffering of animals around the world at the same time, but now you can!

This Earth Day, we ask you to consider that animals around the globe are suffering; they are being treated cruelly by laboratories, circuses, and abusive industries that exploit them for profit. Animal Defenders International (ADI) is a global nonprofit that has been working for twenty-seven years to alleviate animal suffering on a global scale through education, awareness, legal action, and the overall suppression of all animal cruelty.

In honor of Earth Day and in support for animals, 10 percent of eligible sales placed on Rowkin.com will go to ADI. From April 22 to April 30, purchases made using code: ADI, will be eligible for the promotion. By supporting ADI, you are helping to make the world a safer and better place for the creatures we share this planet with.

“Rowkin is partnering with ADI for Earth Day because we support their overwhelming dedication to the protection of all animals. We believe they also embody a principle that we practice; to always be moving forward and seeking improvement in all aspects of life." said Anson Liang, Founder of Rowkin. "We hope, through our working together, we can raise awareness about the suffering of animals and help to end the practices that lead to cruelty against animals."

Founded in 1990, Animal Defenders International (ADI) rescues animals all over the world and educates the public on animals and environmental issues. With offices in Los Angeles, London and Bogota, ADI educates and campaigns across the globe on animals in entertainment and other industries. They create public awareness of animal suffering and combine this with scientific and economic research.  ADI takes a unique holistic, self-sufficient approach to achieving long-term protection for animals. They work at all levels, from start to finish of a campaign – from investigations and gathering empirical evidence to scientific and economic research, publication of technical reports, through to public education and assisting with law enforcement and legal protection for animals.

“ADI is delighted to be collaborating with Rowkin and very much hopes customers will support their important Earth Day initiative to raise funds for our life-saving work for animals around the world.” said Jan Creamer, President of Animal Defenders International.

By purchasing Rowkin's headphones during this special promotion, you will be supporting Animal Defenders International’s (ADI) lifesaving work to protect and rescue animals. ADI works to save animals in circuses that are being chained, beaten, and electric shocked into performing unnatural tricks. ADI is also working on passing the Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act (TEAPSPA) (HR 1759), which will ban wild animals from being forced to perform in traveling shows in the US. Traveling animal acts are not just dangerous for the animals; people are also at risk when potentially dangerous abused wild animals are kept in close proximity to the public with inadequate barriers. 34 countries around the world have banned these inherently abusive acts, ADI is pushing to make sure the U.S. joins these countries in their pursuit for animal rights.

Currently, ADI is in the process of building their habitats at Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary to give their current rescued lions the closest experience possible to the life nature intended for them. In addition to the costs for this huge construction project, ADI also continues to fund the care of these lions at a cost of $12,000 each month. The organization continues to fund the care of more than 100 rescued animals at sanctuaries all around the world.

About Animal Defenders International

Animal Defenders International (ADI):  Los Angeles – London – Bogota

Ending the suffering of animals in captivity and protecting wild animals and their environments.

Active worldwide to end the suffering of animals: animals in entertainment – film, television, advertising, circuses and sport or leisure; animals used for food or fur; protection of wildlife and the environment; trade in animals; zoos, pets, entertainment and laboratories. Funding and promotion of advanced scientific methods to replace the use of animals in research. ADI investigates, produces evidence and reports on the scientific, legal and economic issues for each case study, recommending solutions. Education and awareness to public, media and officials. Where ADI’s evidence has been a catalyst for change, we collaborate with governments to conduct large-scale seizures of wild animals in captivity and relocate them to forever homes – back to their natural habitat wherever possible.
