MacBook Pro’s New Touch Bar: 5 Fun and Functional Tips and Tricks
As eye-catching as it is innovative, Apple’s newest addition to the Macbook Pro caters both to occasional users and busy professionals with its astounding versatility and intuitive nature. We have dug deep to provide you with these 5 hacks to make your experience with the new Touch Bar even more enjoyable and seamless.
QUICKLY NAVIGATE MUSIC & VIDEO
The Touch Bar has an integrated scrubbing tool located to the left of the Control Strip that appears in bar graph form when this feature is available. Tap to reveal the media controls and then glide your finger over the scroll tool to leap forward or backward while listening to music or watching videos.
SIRI SPRINGS INTO ACTION
To avoid the lag time commonly associated with AI processing, the Touch Bar includes a Siri button that may be pressed and held while issuing a command or asking a question. Once your request is completed, remove your finger from the button and your wish is quickly executed.
INSTANTLY FIND THAT ONE PHOTO
Swiftly uncovering a chosen image is a cinch courtesy of Apple’s photo app which works in tandem with the Touch Bar to provide you with the date that each photo was taken. This tool comes in especially handy for those with large libraries.
INCREASED AUDIO CONTROL
Bypass the usual volume control slider on the Touch Bar by simply opening the Expanded Control Strip and then pushing Shift + Option. This allows you to more gradually manipulate the audio to your liking by touching the up and down volume buttons.
DON’T FORGET THE EMOJIS!
By simply tapping the smiley face to the left of the Touch Bar you are able to easily bypass opening an entirely new window to make inserting an emoji into your messages easier than ever before.
